Frequently asked questions
Seafood, preorders, and market pickup
Where can I find Texas Wild Seafood?
We sell at the Barton Creek Farmers Market on Saturdays and the Dripping Springs Farmers Market on Wednesdays. Visit our market schedule for current times, locations, and directions.
What seafood do you carry?
Our selection follows the catch and may include wild Gulf shrimp, snapper, black drum, lump crab meat, sea scallops, and crab fingers. Browse our seafood page for the products we regularly bring.
Why does availability change?
Weather, landings, season, fishing conditions, and demand all affect what is available. Product sizes, cuts, pack formats, and quantities can change from one market to the next.
How do preorders work?
Choose a market and pickup date, add available seafood to your cart, provide your pickup contact details and preferences, and complete the secure payment step. We check inventory and the ordering cutoff again during checkout. After confirmation, collect your order at the selected market during the displayed pickup window.
How does pricing work for seafood sold by weight?
The product page shows an expected weight and price range. At checkout, your card may be authorized up to the displayed maximum. After your seafood is weighed, you are charged only for the fulfilled amount plus the displayed Preorder Fee, never more than the authorized maximum.
Can I choose whether substitutions are allowed?
Yes. During checkout you can decline substitutions, ask us to contact you first, or approve one of the listed substitution options. We use the preference submitted with your order.
What if an item becomes unavailable?
Seafood supply can change after an order is placed. If we cannot fulfill an item, we may adjust the final charge, release the unused authorization, or issue an appropriate refund. We will use the contact details on your preorder when an update is needed.
How is payment handled?
Stripe securely processes online payments. Texas Wild Seafood receives the payment status needed to manage your order but does not receive your full card number.
How should I store my seafood?
Keep seafood cold, refrigerate or freeze it promptly, prevent cross-contact, and follow current food-safety guidance. Ask us at the stand if you need product-specific storage or preparation suggestions.
